You just need to select the peasants, and right click on the source you want to collect. As soon as you have built the Town Hall (which is the first thing you have to do when you start the Cossacks game), you will be able to collect wood and stone with your peasants. Without it, peasants don’t have a place to store the resources that they have collected. For that purpose, you need to have either a Town Hall building, or a Storehouse building built.
In other words, peasants need to bring resources somewhere, when they collect it. Of course, to gather those, your peasants need to have collecting place for it. Those resources are Food, Wood, and Stone. Resources gathered from ground are resources that you can find on the land, and you just need to tell peasants to collect. Resources gathered from ground, and resources gathered from mines. Whenever I try to explain the Cossacks game play from scratch to some new player, when it comes to resources, I divide them in a 2 main groups.
Those are: Wood, Food, Stone, Gold, Iron, and Coal. There are 6 types of resources in Cossacks. So, lets get right on to the first one – Resources. So, every info, or tip, or fact refers to Cossacks Back to War game. Once again, I want to point out, that on this blog, I talk about Back to War expansion. Bye Bye! ?Īs I promised, I will feel this category (Cossacks Back to War) with the basics sections of Cossacks game explained. See you all in my next post about the first mission. That would encourage others to comment too and it would help this blog grow and fulfill its main goal – To help Cossacks Back to War game to stay alive, and maybe even gain some fresh players ? Thank you all for nice emails, but at this moment, I could really use some comment, and actual communication on the website. If you have a better idea of how this should work, please let me know :D. And the day after, I will post the video with me actually completing a mission. I have planed to design this section like this: I will post a mission goals here, describe it in my own words, and then, the next they I will post my written tutorial on how you should play the particular mission.
So, with this tutorials and videos, I hope you will be able to pass every single mission in Cossacks Back to War game on very hard difficulty. In some missions, it seems impossible to even survive for a first few minutes. Whatever you try, somehow, it just seems impossible to complete the mission. And sometimes, and these I hate the most, you have no clue what you need to do. Some missions are hard in the way that you know what you want to do, but just can’t manage it. I was stuck in some missions for a weeks. And trust me, when Cossacks say very hard difficulty, they really mean it. Mods can mark this as solved if they wish.
Simply set the files dcmr.exe, dmln.exe, and HView.exe compatibility mode to Windows XP (Service Pack 3) to fix it. Even a complete reinstall of the game doesn't fix these problems.Īny ideas? Is there a config file where I can manually force a resolution change? I can't find it.Įdit: Nevermind, I found a fix. Any attempt to start a battle just gives me a blank screen and then a crash now. Now when I go back into the game it won't let me change resolution at all in the options and the entry for resolution is blank and stays that way no matter how many times I click it. The game speed change wasn't causing any problems before. The game was working fine for multiple runs, but it suddenly crashed when changing the game speed to slow. Lucian_Galca: As the title says, I can no longer change resolution in Cossacks: European Wars after the game crashed to desktop.
